POUCH
[PRODUCT DESIGN, MOTION DESIGN, IDENTITY]
Lately, the consumption of beauty products has increased at a rapid rate, due to the constant releases, marketing campaigns, and growing influence of social media. POUCH is a beauty inventory app that promotes awareness for consumerism and disencourages mindless consumption.
STARTING
INVENTORY
Users can keep track of all the beauty products they own. For quick navigation and personalized viewing, users can choose the order in which the products are displayed, as well as which products they would like to see.
Users can log all of the products they own and input details with one of three options: "Search", "Link", or "Manual". With the "Search" option, users can search the product by name or brand and the information will automatically be filled in from the product's website. If users already have access to a link with the product's information, they can simply use "Link" to paste the link and immediately input the information. If the previous two are not viable options, or the user wants more control over the details, they can use the "Manual" option.
ROUTINES
Users can create custom routines to keep track of the products they use for different purposes. Custom cover photos can be uploaded to remind the user of how the routine looks when applied.
TRACKING
Users can record the products that they use each day to track patterns and tendencies. This can help with understanding which products go unused and which are used the most, hence leading to a better understanding of which products should and shouldn't be purchased. Users can either upload individual products from their inventory or entire routines.
PROGRESS
Users can view their statistics, updated monthly, to view their progress for usage, finances, and waste. Usage shows data regarding frequency and importance. Finances can be customized to include a personal budget for beauty products. Waste shows which products will be/have been going to waste due to expiration dates and lack of use.
